October 3rd - 8th, 2006

What a week. I apologize for not writing. I never realized how many of you read this blog. I will try and be more diligent, ... Let me fill you in on what's happening and what my thought's are. (remember, these are only my personal thoughts, ... nothing important.)

October 3rd, 2006 ... I had lunch with Sgt Brandi Schiff. I love Brandi, she is such a great American and served in the Army in Afghanistan. Brandi worked with Dirk Beverage during all the "We Do Care" festivals this past summer. We talked about future shows with the 101st Rock Division and the US Army. After lunch, Brandi invited me back to her office to meet with Master Sgt Johnson and Col. Amberg. It looks like we have the support of the US Army Public Relations office in Chicago. We should have some very exciting announcements about upcoming events in the very near future.

October 4th, 2006 ... My daughter Danielle's 14th birthday. I have to be honest and tell you from my heart, I have four of the greatest daughters a father could ever hope for.  It has been my complete honor and extreme pleasure to have had the opportunity to raise them for the past 8 1/2 years. I feel pity for dad's that abandon their kids after divorce (not all do) and I have to tell you, you don't know what you are missing.

On Wednesday, our birthday tradition is that I make their favorite home cooked meal. For Danielle it's baked macaroni and baked chicken. (I have the recipe if you're interested.) This year she received her "Ipod" and other "Ipod" related gift from her sisters. With Kim, and Laura on their own and Jenny either at work or school, it was great to sit down with "the family."

I remember the very second I cast my eyes on each one of my daughters for the very first time and I tell that story on their birthdays every year. They never seem to mind those stories because that's the moment I fell unconditionally in love with them.

Happy Birthday Danielle, I love you baby.

October 5th, 2006 ... one of the big news stories of the week was the Congressional email scandal.

Mark Foley, that repulsive, perverted, scum-bag, child-molesting piece of shit, should be tried by a jury of his own peers and then hung by the neck until dead, ... then shot. He'll have Satan to answer to for all the crap this self-serving, lying puke has infected upon America. (remember, these are my personal thoughts!!!!!) I believe there should be higher punishment for elected officials who abuse their power, then run behind the constitution and the BULL SHIT that they were "molested as a child" and that's what cause them to be the disgusting waste of skin they have become. I'm sure this guy was always an asshole and a pedophile and I would love to be the hangman!

With that said, ... the Democrats are embarrassing themselves by going after a good, honest man like Denny Hastert. I personally know that Hastert is the exact opposite of Foley. Hastert is a good man and a great leader. At this point, I feel this Democratic witch hunt is about to backfire on them, ...they won't shut up. You'll never see a great Democratic leader like Richie Daley from Chicago pointing fingers and I believe other members of his party should use him as a prime example.

Don't look to far from your own flock ladies and gentlemen, ... I can remember Bill Clinton's cigar sessions with Monica and hey, ... I rather go hunting with Dick Cheney then go for a midnight drive with Ted Kennedy!

The second story that brought tears to my eyes, especially being the father for four daughters, were the innocent, cowardly murders of the Amish school children.

One point that can be made to all "extremists" in our world; After the brutal murders of these God-fearing holy, and beautiful children, their leaders called for prayers and forgiveness for the gutless coward who committed the crime and who's name will not be mentioned on this blog.

Forgiveness after several days, ... hummmmm, ... how many hundreds of years has the hatred in the Middle-East for lesser crimes been boiling over? Maybe we should replace Foley with an Amish leader who can deal from the heart and in the name that this country was found under, ...God.  I know I could never be as forgiving as the Amish community is now being.

October 6th, 2006 ... I have to tell you, the band is sounding better than ever. The new bio's and photo's are up on the website (www.101stRockDivision.com) and the tour is being booked. The girls are just a great addition to the band. They have opened up our vocals making it a total of 10 singers on stage. The girls will have eight solo's and one of the tunes we are working on at this moment is "Bohemian Rhapsody."

This week I signed a letter of intent with Keepman Film Capital in Chicago. They are going to film a documentary about my life and about America. The working title is "G.I. Joe; An American Patriot." This should be a very fun project and will feature firefighters, soldiers, some of my heroes who make a difference as well as my daughters and band mates. It is slotted for PBS. I hope it all works out.

That's it for today.
