Website Photo's and Sponsor

The photo section of this website has been updated as of last night. Jim VanNatta has been working for weeks to get this done (thanks brother). In the "Living The Dream" section we feature some new photos of the band in concert and at rehearsal, Vinny Forras, my new friends Sgt's Brandi Schiff and Allison Kitzrow, USMC Col. Dennis Arinello and his bride-to-be, award winning patriot Dirk Beveridge, Daily Herald staff writer Jim Fuller, Army Col. Ryan Yantis, Pat Gambaro and Fred Cambria of the NYBOT and FOX News reporter and former Barrington-ite Mike Tobin.

In the "American Heroes" section there are a few more photo's featuring New Yorker Cliff Russell.

We also have the "Links" page updated. You can visit our newest sponsor, "Trick Drums." We hope to include some photo's of the new drum kit they are building for us on the photo page very soon. If you know anything about drums you'll find their website fascinating, ... if you don't know anything about drums (like me) you'll still find the website fascinating.

The Real McCoys

I received an email yesterday from Mac and Pat McCoy. (Visit their website at  www.YellowRibbonsg.org or click on the link to them on this website.) They sent me a link to a beautiful website that reminds all of us Americans, Republican or Democrat, black or white, red or yellow; what America is about and why it is so important to keep fighting for her.

There is no place on earth like America. Our troops will tell you that. Our people, our rivers and mountains, our countrysides and cities, ... nobody has it better then the USA.

I can remember coming back from our 2004 tour of Iraq and other dangerous places. We were only gone for a month and I can't imagine what it's like for our troops. The sight of green grass and clean streets, of people walking freely and every kind of person from every human race overwhelmed me. It never did before because I took it for granted. I thought the rest of the world was almost like America, but I was wrong, ... not even close.

Sure, we don't all agree, but we don't force others to commit to one set of views. Our freedoms allow us to think! We decide, we have choices. Our troops made the choice to keep America free and beautiful. Those same troops made the choice to hunt down and punish those that try to harness our freedoms. They took the fight off the streets of New York, Washington DC and Pennsylvania and into backyards of the terrorists, away from their families. If you think about, it's the troops that really keep American beautiful.

God bless our great troops and their families. Our thoughts and prayers are always with you.

Grab a cup of coffee, relax for a few minutes and enjoy the link Pat and Mac have shared with us all ... http://oldbluewebdesigns.com/mybeautifulamerica.htm

Citgo Boycott

As I was driving yesterday I heard the new Citgo commercial and almost threw-up! This boycott has really got to be killing them.

The Three Dog Night "Sham-Ba-La" commercials must have failed. I saw and heard that commercial every single hour of the day for the past month. That commercial pretended that nothing was wrong with Citgo, "Great coffee, friendly people and lower prices" were the theme of those commercials; post-Chavez's anti-American comments.

Now, ... as Citgo's are closing each day around the country, the new message is how Citgo helps MDA and how they sent money to hurricane victims and that not only are they an awesome oil company with great coffee, but they are humanitarians as well. However, I never heard them once mention their fearless leader's request to OVER THROW THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT!!!!!!! I haven't heard an apology yet either for call our president "the devil." Hummmm, must have been an oversight. The next commercial will probably show how Citgo buys Girl Scout cookies and helps little old ladies across the street.

With 7-Eleven tossing them out of over 2,100 stores/stations, (don't forget to get a slurpee,) times must really be bad for Citgo. They are now throwing good money after a bad situation, ... it's panic time Hugo Chavez, his Venezuelan dictatorship and their company Citgo. He thought he could buy all of us Americans with gas. He was so wrong and now he's full of it, ... gas that is, ... and nobody wants it!

My favorite story on this subject comes from our 49th state. Chavez tried to buy more humanitarian publicity by offering free oil to a few very poor Alaskan towns. Fuel is very high in those regions, but the Alaskans turned Chavez down saying; "no thanks."

The people of Alaska said; " We will not except a donation from someone who calls our president 'the devil." You have got to love the backbone of these proud Americans.

Have a great day and God bless America.

      Joe,

I wanted to thank you for your comments about our product Fast Funnel and the great work Yellow Ribbon Support Group is doing.

When we began sending our funnels to our troops many people said “what good will that do”. We shortly found out, that in an environment that few could possibly imagine, having a clean, safe method in delivering liquids and powders is a great benefit. When we receive letters, pictures and hear positive feedback, it reaffirms that our decision was correct.

The work you are doing with you blog is wonderful and giving great support to our soldiers and their families. I hope you don't mind but I have added your link to our U.S. Military Troops page. http://www.fastfunnel.com/ourtroops.htm

Please continue the great work and god bless.

      Sincerely,

      Larry Salani
