November 8th, 2006 ... PETER ROSKAM WINS!

I have never been involved in a political campaign. I have voted ever since I reached legal voting age, but never worked with press secretaries, campaign managers or political strategists. As Peter Roskam's team will tell you, ... I don't understand "sound bites" or , "photo angle's" and I just don't care! I worked with Peter Roskam from my heart and because I believe in him.  He is a great guy with honest, moral idea's about America. It's Peter's teams job to do whatever it took to get him elected. Peter's team did a great job ... Mr. Roskam Goes To Washington!

I had a riot at the election night event at Roskam Headquarters, which turned into a huge celebration for 6th District Republicans in Illinois. I played my guitar and sang for 4-hours and could have played longer if the night would have gone any longer. One of the funniest things I have ever seen is watching people, with their eye's locked on to one of the ten-TV's provided at the event, checking out the streaming election results while they lip sink the lyrics with me to song's like "American Pie," or "I Should Have Known Better."

Now that Peter's heading to Washington DC, and the 2006 Mid-Term Elections are over I have to say ... I AM SOOOOO DAMN GLAD ALL THOSE AWFUL AD'S ARE OFF TV AND RADIO. I honestly believe that in the next presidential election in 2008, the candidate that only speaks positively about his record and what he's going to do and won't fire back with negative crap and stomach wrenching slander ad's, will win hands down. It worked for Ronald Reagan and it will work again! I may be a "rock and roll guy" but I do feel I am in the majority Americans when it come to this subject. I never thought I'd say this, but I am looking forward to "The Clapper" and "Chia Pet" commercials!!!

I want to send a special congratulations to Brian McCarthy who has worked with Peter for years and who I have the utmost respect. I want to thank my bud, Dave Wentz who kept fighting with me and walked the extra miles for his high school buddy, Peter, to assure a "Congressional win."

One of my favorite parts of then night was watching the media's faces as Peter pulled away in what was predicted to be a win for Tammy Duckworth earlier, ... they looked so shocked when their phones started ringing letting them know Roskam was the winner.

To Peter; God bless you my brother, the people of the 6th District of the Great State of Illinois are sending the right person Washington D.C. We all know you will make us proud.
