December 22, 2006 ... A Christmas Letter From The Frontline

As Christmas approaches, I know every single one of you are keeping our great men and women serving our country in your prayers. Capt. Aaron Angell USMC is keeping all of us in he's prayers.

Arron writes:

Family and friends,

Many of you will probably be headed home from work today to start your
Christmas celebration a little early.  And many of you may actually not
be at work or school for some time after today.  I just wanted to take a
moment of your time to wish you a happy holiday season.  For those of
you traveling, I pray for your safe and timely travel.  For those of you
just relaxing at home, I pray for warmth and cheer.

Out here we have several Company parties scheduled and a big Squadron
party on Christmas Day.  We'll have a big feast with a few hundred of
our closest friends, as well.  So many of you have sent out packages
with cookies, candy, decorations, cards, letters, books, and other
little presents.  Thank you so much for the support.  For me, being away
from Megan, Cecilia, and even our dogs (Cali and Kyrka) during this
season is tough, but having all of the great support from all of you
makes it much more bearable.

I'm sure as I say THANK YOU, each of you is thinking, "No thank you" to
all of the Marines, Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and the rest of the
combined force out here.  We can both say thank you to each other because
we both mean a lot to each other.

Again, have a very happy holiday season.  I miss you all

Semper Fidelis!

Aaron

To Aaron, ... God bless you my brother. I think about you everyday. Please send a photo so we can post it and let everyone see your smiling face. God Speed.

May the spirit of Christmas warm the hearts of the troops everywhere this season. It's comforting to know celebrations of the season can and will still be taking place. Be at peace knowing that you are remembered and covered in prayer by your families and friends.
