Flashback - - -FEB. 9, 2004; BAGHDAD, IRAQ: We were on stage at Camp Martyrs Monument in the "Green Zone," when bassist Jon Brant says to me while we are performing, ... "I hope you know all your lyrics tonight buddy, because that guy in the front row knows all the words!" (Jon was on my ass the whole trip! LOL)

I look out to witness an Army sergeant with the First Armor Division singing every single word to every single song, from his seat, ... the entire night!

After the show I found the sergeant I asked him why he didn't jump on stage and sing with us? A look of surprise came over his face and in a Texas drawl he said; "If I would'a known I could have sung with yall, I'da been up there all night long!" That was my introduction to Darrin Domko, US Army.

SIDEBAR - What I didn't know at the time was that Darrin ran the "Country Line Dance Nights" and the "Karaoke Nights" in Baghdad for the troops. Darrin was also very involved with the education of the Iraqi children. There are photo's on this website of Darrin with his "angels."

I invited Darrin to sing with our group when he got back to the states. Between tours of duty in Iraqi, Darrin and his sweetheart of a wife, Keri Domko, took me up on my offer. Darrin joined my band, The 101st Rock Division in August of 2004, for 3 songs and he rocked the audience. (visit www.101stRockDivision.com)

MAY 16, 2007: I made that offer again now that Darrin has completed his second tour of duty and it looks like we have a new singer.

Joe,

I have scheduled my "leave" so that I can come to Chicago August 5th.  I have until 10 August.  So if your still interested I would love a chance to sing with you guys at Augustfest in Des Plaines, IL, where we all met last time.  That would be so cool.

Also if you send me a playlist for your show, maybe I could sing back up with yall for the show as well as squeeze in a couple of my own?  What do you think?

I am so excited.  You are the best! I am the luckiest guy on the planet because I get to live a life-long-dream of getting to perform in front of a crowd. Since I would never be able to do it on my own, you have no idea how much it means to me to get to live out a childhood dream like that.  You are like my very own "Make A Wish Foundation."  I feel very honored and privileged to be on the same stage with yall too.

Well let me know what you think.  I will be standing by waiting patiently.

Take care my friend.

Love, your little brother,

Darrin (and your protector of the country )

The guy is a pro with an awesome voice, so I made my decision. Darrin is joining us for an entire night as a back-up singer who will also sing a few leads with us.

Mark your calendars for Sunday evening, August 5th, 2007 at 7:00 PM. Darrin will join us live on stage at St. Zachary's Augustfest, 567 West Algonquin Road in Des Plaines, Illinois.

His smile will dazzle you, his sparkling personality will charm you and his voice will blow you away! Darrin Domko, live in concert, with the 101st Rock Division!

Hi, Melodie, cool to cross paths with you here! Everybody keep on fighting to uphold our right to keep on fighting evil. I've seen strong proof lately of how schools are propagandizing our children that evil must be appeased, never opposed.
