A veteran - whether active duty, retired, National Guard, or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check payable to "The United States of America," for the amount of: "up to and including my life!"

That is HONOR, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.

Hell Joe, I'll put my name under that statement if you need an author. To say that way too many people in this country don't understand that, is hitting the nail on the head. I'll add to that statement..... Freedom is a GIFT, not ones right. Too many people just don't get it.

      Joe,

What a great open ended statement. I know of one soldier that wrote that check. Matt Maupin wrote it and swore his life to protect me, you and all of us not matter what you believe in. He had no idea what that actually would cost him. But he is my hero and I will not give up on him.
You and I both wrote that check and I would have allowed anyone to cash it if the need be.

Thanks Joe you do a good service.

      Till they all come home,
