Saturday October 13

I'll be performing solo at 10:00 AM at Montrose Harbor (Montrose and Lake Shore Drive) at the Illinois Liver Foundation Walk-a-thon. I'll perform for about 60 minutes.

Bob Kolling, my partner with the Forgotten Heroes Foundation introduced me to this event. Bob is a decorated Vietnam Veteran and over 30-year after receiving a blood transfusion, Bob learned that he contracted Hepatitis-C and almost lost his life. Thanks to the Liver Foundation, and at about the last hour, Bob received a liver transplant (on Veterans Days of all days) and his life was saved.

The Vietnam Veterans sponsor the stage I will be performing on.

If you know a veteran who had a blood transfusion, ask him to get his blood checked. It could save his/her life.

Saturday October 20

I'll be a guest at the USO's Star Spangled Salute Ball at Navy Pier in Chicago. The USO will honor ABC's Bob Woodruff and his cameraman, Doug Vogt for their excellence in journalism and their support of our great troops. The Lt. Dan Band featuring Gary Sinise.

Saturday October 27

One of my favorite gig's, ... the Jade 50's reunion. At Molly Malone's on Madison in Forest Park, Illinois. I go on stage at about 9:30 PM and then I will be joined by the original member of Jade 50's, the band that started at Oak Park River Forest High School and the very first band I was even in. The is no cover charge but we hope people will make a donation to the Gary Olson Scholarship Fund. Gary was our high school coach and friend, who died 8-years ago. So far we have sent 8 students to college with a scholarship in Gary's name.

Once Jade 50's takes the stage, we'll be performing all your "Oldie Favorites." From Elvis to Chuck Berry, some of the greatest songs every written. I'll be joined by original members Keith Grant, John Galasek, Paul Curtis, Nick Calabrese and Brent Cutro. Rock and roll is here to stay!

      Dear Joe,

The Special Operations Warrior Foundation was founded over 27 years ago, after the Iran Hostage Crisis. Eighteen children of Spec Ops Warriors were left behind. The Foundation was developed to give these children the college education their fathers would have given them. The Special Operations Warrior Foundation is still working to offer a college education to the children of all Spec Ops Warriors.

My husband and I will be working hard to raise funds over the next year for this cause. Our grandson will have the opportunity for a fully funded education through the foundation. In addition, they provide emergency assistance to the families of wounded Warriors from each branch of the service.

The first time I rode a motorcycle any distance, was to the Harley 100th Anniversary. Everyone said I was crazy to make the trip with no experience. My son Derek, was the exception. He told me to go for it, as I would really be missing out on life if I feared what might happen. He was right! It was a wonderful trip.

Todd and I will take to the road again next year for the Harley 105th Anniversary, in honor of Derek. Our goal is $105,000 for the Warrior Foundation. We have started our efforts now. Would you help us by posting our page?

      Thank you,

      Deb

        Nancy,

Well, Elvis's voice will be there, hahaha, ... we have actually had a rehearsal so we may even be in tune. We have pulled out some of our golden oldie favorites from Chuck Berry and Dion to Bill Haley and yes, ... the King; Elvis. I'll see you tonight, make sure you come up say hello.
