Dateline - Democratic Convention; 2004 ... Senator John Kerry picks Senator John Edwards as his running-mate for President and Vice President of the United States of America. Together they try and beat the Bush Administration, but in November of 2004, they are handily whipped.

It appeared that Kerry's waffling, shady past, along with his waffling on the issues sunk his "swift boat" for good.

Personally, I couldn't get past the fact that Kerry threw his "Purple Heart" medals away, ... OHHHH wait a second, years later, Kerry states that those weren't his Purple Hearts, they were another soldiers medals. I guess he just pretended to throw his away. Who was he scamming then ... conservatives or liberals?

I'll never forget the debate, when Kerry was called on the carpet for his vote to support the war in Iraq and he actually exclaimed; " ... yes, I did vote for that ... before I voted against it!"

Huh?

Two years later, in 2006, Kerry opened his big mouth again; insulting American troops, families of American troops and Gold Star parents across the nation by saying; "If you don't navigate correctly through the educational system in America, you'll be stuck in Iraq."

Although he tried worming his way out of that harmful, hurtful, idiotic statement, it appeared that his dream of being President of the USA was finally over. In a desparate move re-tested the waters with "half-apologies," and traveled to Iraq to speak with the troops (and got the cold shoulder from most of them,) but it was too-little, too-late, and most Dem's washed their hands in regards to John Kerry, ala Pontius Pilot.

Just when you thought John Kerry's "15-minutes of fame" were up, ... he rears his Herman Munster-like head again and endorses Barack Obama for President!

This time Kerry is playing Brutus, in from Shakespeare's "Julius Cesar," stabbing John Edwards in the back, while Edwards murmurs not one bad word about Kerry. It's almost like Edwards expected the knife in the back, ... John Edwards did not even whisper, "et tu Brute?"

I may not agree with some of Edwards politics's, but I am understanding why people like him. He has class. His wife has class. They have more class in their little fingers than John Kerry will ever have.  What I loved most was Edwards' responded to Kerry's endorsement of Obama; "Our country and our party are stronger because of John's service, and I respect his decision. When we were running against each other and on the same ticket, John and I agreed on many issues."

Edwards was good enough for Kerry to trust as Kerry's runner-up choice for president 4-years ago, but now, Kerry endorses Obama????? What the &$%^&@#! Even if Edwards didn't have a snowballs chance in hell to be elected in '08, (and those may very well be the odds,) Kerry would have made a better name for himself if he endorsed his former running mate. It would have been a classy, endearing move; a showing of brotherhood, but John Kerry keeps proving, over and over again, he does what he thinks people want to see and hear; he never seems to do the right thing, and he ends up looking like the slime ball he apparently is!

I saw a poll on AOL this morning. The question was posed, "Does John Kerry's endorsement of Barack Obama,  Help Obama, Hurt Obama or Have No Impact."  230,000 people polled ...
51% said No Impact
22% said it will Hurt Obama
27% said it will Help Obama

73% think Kerry is insignificant.

John Kerry, please disappear. You mocked American servicemen in the 60's and 70's. You were whipped in 2004. You made a mockery of our troops in 2006, you embarrass your former running mate and now you are the American Embarrassment.

John, why can you go for a long drive with your fellow Massachusetts Senator, over a bridge, ... let Teddy drive.
