NAPERVILLE, IL GEARING UP FOR AN ENTIRE FIELD OF AMERICAN FLAGS!

Community Support & Flag Sales are Gearing up at Naperville, IL's RIBFEST for the Healing Field® of Honor
Two Thousand and Nine- LARGE- American flags will fly at Rotary Hill in Naperville during Veterans Week 2009.
Naperville, Illinois – It will be an amazing site and an opportunity for everyone to participate in an event that will be talked about for years to come. The Exchange Club of Naperville has been bringing Ribfest to the Naperville community for the past 20 years and now they present the Healing Field of Honor later this year to honor men and women in the military.
Visitors and volunteers from the entire surrounding communities will experience an amazing display of patriotism with 2009 three foot by 5 foot US flags mounted atop eight foot poles standing in perfect rows on Rotary Hill November 7-14.
Part of a nationally recognized community program, the Healing Field of Honor will pay tribute to the strength and unity of Americans, and will honor all Veterans who served our nation to preserve our security and freedoms. Net proceeds from the event will benefit Veterans causes including the ongoing operations of Fisher House, a housing facility for Veterans’ families adjacent to Hines VA Hospital.
David Wentz is the event chairman for the volunteer organizing committee and past club and district president of the Naperville Exchange Club. “My father served in the military as did many people I admire and look up to today”, says Wentz. “I have always felt the desire to serve my country and this is just one way we can give back and honor those who have served at the same time. I recently heard someone say, ‘Not everyone can serve in combat or in the military, someone has to stand along the parade route and clap’ Wentz says, “We want to invite anyone and everyone to ‘clap’ and help us honor our heroes of freedom.”
People will be able to participate at Ribfest by purchasing the flags at the Exchange Club booth near the sponsor tent. · Sponsor a flag for $30 and take it home at the end of the event
· Corporate or individual supporter packages still available for $1,500 includes 10 flags
· Show up for the programs or just walk through the flags with your friends and loved ones and take a moment to thank the heroes that keep us safe and free.
